Chiang Mai Zoo (Open 8am- 6pm) |
Chiang Mai zoo is located at the foothills of the highest mountain in Thailand Doi Suthep.
The zoo has a vast variety of animals plus an aquarium and the famous Chiang Mai Pandas which were donated from China. These attractions are an extra cost with the Pandas at proximately 100Baht and children 50Baht. The Aquarium charges approximately 450BBaht for adults and 350Baht for children and has one of the
longest viewing tunnels in Asia.
There are buses at very cheap rates to take you round the zoo and to the aquarium with costs at 20 Baht per adult and 10 Baht per child.

Walking Street Sunday Market |
|
Don't miss Chiang Mai's Walking Street Market which is open every Sunday. This market is located in the streets of the old city and sets up late Sunday afternoon. A vast variety of crafts and goods are available here and it's also a cheap and good place to eat with many local delicacies.
Walking Street Sunday market sets up on Rachadamnoen road in the Old City from Thapae Gate up to wat Prah Singh. The market is very central so just ask at your hotel how to get there.
