"This was a terrific way to spend a day. The boat journey was quite long but when your bathing in the sun, offered fresh fruit every minute and are surrounded by incredible scenery... You cannot complain! Also got a fantastic tan (if i do say so myself). First stop was snorkelling and although the visibility at this time of year was not the best, the coral was very unusual and interesting... It was like huge planets under water. The best part was definitely the spring jump board right at the top of the boat which you can leap off! After snorkelling we went kayaking... which was quite tiring but fun as we wen though a cave and afterwards you get to bathe and chill out in a small lake which was nice. The next, and by far my favourite, stop was the emerald lake. Words cannot even describe how perfect it was. I have NEVER seen water so blue and vibrant before. Simply breathtaking. You get to choose whether you want to stay on the beach, visit a cave or walk to the view point. I chose the cave which was like an artists sculpture, the hike there was pretty challenging but once you reach the cave, it is TOTALLY worth it. It was mind captivating. Breakfast, lunch, donuts, sandwhiches, fruit, drinks... everything is included and service is impeccable. Absolutely recommend!"

"I thought booking through backpackers thailand was excellent and easy. The response to queries was prompt and very friendly. As for the trip itself it was a fantastic day out. We did this on our second day and it was a great way to kick off our trip. All the stops are unique in their own way until you finally end up on an island that can be only described as paradise. The boat packs a diving board and a slide which just adds to the experience adding some thrills. All the staff were friendly and always assisted in anyway they could. If I returned I would defiantly do this trip again, thanks Tom"

Ang Thong National Marine Park tour is the best of its kind here in the Gulf of Thailand!
This relaxed and extended full day tour includes a number of activities for both the adventure seeker and also the more relaxed type of customer.
The trip will normally take you to three of the islands including Koh Wao or Koh Tay Plow for snorkeling on the beautiful coral reefs, Ao Ka beach on Koh Wau Talap to visit the viewpoint and caves where hopefully you see some friendly dusky langurs, plus a visit either by kayak traveling under amazing limestone overhangs or you can take the boat to Na Tap beach at Koh Mae Koh to see the beautiful emerald lagoon Talay Nai, which is one of the most beautiful natural saltwater lakes in Asia.
Our wooden boat has been specifically designed for these seas, and rather than in a speed boat where one is tightly packed in and you can feel every bump in the waves, our vessel rewards her passengers the chance to really enjoy the boat ride which only takes 90 minutes to the marine park.There is also a covered deck with benches to relax on and not get sunburn in the heat of the day.
For fun there is also a long slide at the rear of the boat and a spring board located right at the top for you to dive or jump from! There is much more time to enjoy the sights and you will get to visit both the viewpoint and also undertake the kayaking which many speedboat operators don't provide.
One of the main benefits of this trip is that pickups across the whole of Koh Phangan are free and the trip feels very relaxed with a high service standard from the crew providing fresh fruit and soft drinks on a regular basis.
On the journey home, you can relax on large bean bags at the front of the deck and watch the amazing sunset start to drop.
Ang thong National Marine Park is an archipelago of 42 islands and is
a protected area, famous for its natural beauty, situtated in the Gulf Coast
of Southern Thailand abundant with coral and marine life, and natural beauty.
Angthong, literally means 'golden bowl', and occupies almost 250 sq km and
includes 50 sq km of limestone islands. Rocks cliffs and rock formations rise
dramatically from the sea. Caves, hidden lagoons and white sand beaches are
there to be explored and snorkeling among the shallow coral gardens.
There is an abundance of wildlife here including Pacific reef-egret, collared
kingfisher, hairy-nosed otters, white-bellied seaeagle, bats, little heron,
white rumped shama, wagtails, king fishers, seagulls, common sandpiper,
brahminy kite, southern pied hornbill, nest swiflet, oriental pied hornbill,
monitor lizards, ashy drongo, dolphin, sea otters, leopard cats, macaques
sea turtles, tortoises and pythons.
